Hear ye, hear ye! Ye Olde Timers Chaos Theory troupe is here to perform a brand-new improvised play in the style of Shakespeare in the park. Nobody knows, not even the performers. But whatever the answers may be, they are sure to entertain. For the first time ever, Chaos Theory is performing their improvised Shakespeare show on a real stage - the Luther Burbank Park amphitheater. Healing Harmony Sound Bath
18th & Union1406 18th Ave, Seattle, WA
06/14/2023

Healing Harmony is partnering with 18th & Union for Wellness Wednesdays, bringing a 60-minute group sound healing experience designed to help relax, unwind, and restore your physical, mental and spiritual bodies. Healing Harmony creates a unique improvisational sound scape with crystal and metal singing bowls, her handmade deer skin drum, and vocals to guide you on a transformational journey into deep healing and wellness.
What to expect: Most folks like to lie down (bring a blanket, pad, and/or pillow), but you can absolutely choose to sit instead. Fully clothed; no contact. You don't need to know anything special; you can literally just lie/sit there. Heather will introduce the practice, and the session lasts about 45 minutes, and tea will be offered after. Reasonably, you could be on your way home by 8 pm or soon after.
Heather Mullin is a professional musician with international performance experience, a decades long meditation practice, and has worked in the legal profession for over 25 years. After suffering from serious burnout and a health crisis she created Healing Harmony to help her clients transform their anxiety and stress into balance, peace, and harmony. Providing unique transformational healing experiences to reclaim health and reclaim joy. Please visit https://www.healingharmonyllc.org/ to find out more.

More Than Friends (Streaming)
Lowbrow Opera18th & Union - 1406 18th Ave, Seattle

MORE THAN FRIENDS
a triptych on queer love through the ages
Three one-act chamber operas from LGBTQIA+ contemporary composers and librettists come together to showcase the magic, poignance, and resilience of queer love.
Thirst
Composer: TJ Rubin
Librettist: Laura Barati
THIRST is a 10-minute chamber opera for two femmes that offers a magical realist exploration of intimacy and the tension between one's desire for partnership and one's desire for independence.
Emily & Sue
Composer: Dana Kaufman
Librettist: Aiden K. Feltkamp
EMILY & SUE is an a cappella pop opera that uses texts from Emily Dickinson's best-known poetry and love letters between Dickinson and Susan Gilbert to chronicle two days fraught with grief, hope, and sapphic yearning.
Achilles & Patroclus
Composer: Erika Meyer
Librettist: James Theodore Washburn
Through flashes of intimate memories, Achilles remembers his life with the love he lost in this achingly beautiful, unabashedly queer chamber opera for two voices.
You can watch the livestream at showtime Friday 26 May @ 7:30 pm, Saturday 27 May @ 7:30 pm, or you can access the recording at your convenience through June 18.
